Any advice on the coverage of China Telecom 3G in China?  I was advised to buy a ZTE AC30 (verzion) pocket wifi plus a China Telecom 0.1/min sim card to serve my internet requirement for occasion travel in China.

It depends on how frequent that you go to the China. For me I am used to use China Union 3G card + Poray 3G modem. The monthly charge is 1G / 80 yuan / 1 month.

Thank you for your info.  For my case, a monthly plan is too expensive as I only travel to PRC on daily basis but not everyday.  It seems that China UniCom is not offerring any cheaper plan or stored value card?
