Google Voice has been down for some users (including me) since around 2pm US PDT, so OBi users with GV as their ITSP cannot call out or receive all on their OBi device via GV. Took me a long to realize that it is a GV problem instead of OBi problem.
The cheapest VOIP service in HK is cmphone which I test and work in OBi110. For HKBN 2B, it is better in quality but I think there is problem in putting the setting into the OBi110 device.
Have been out of town for the past to days, to make sure my family gets reliable phone services, I switch my OBi default service from GV to AT&T landline before I left home.
I'm back now, just tested GV, both incoming and outgoing are working as expected on my OBi now, I was hoping to switch completely to OBi + 2 GV accounts, and dump AT&T, looks like I have to at least program the second ITSP with a SIP service provider such as callentric. By the way, are there any free/low cost SIP service provider in HK? -- I mean for calling a HK phone numbers
Thanks for the information. Fortunately, I don't have such problem. Hope Google can fix this issue as soon as possible but don't know whether they will work during the Easter Holiday or not.
