Daibaan, you might have a different issue from Harold's. The echo from your unit is on PHONE port, while Harold has the echo on his LINE port.
May I ask what kind of phone you are using? a US phone or from other countries?
Echo is mainly due to impedance mismatch ... the first thing I would try is to adjust PHONE port impedance and see if echo can be eliminated... You can try a different impedance setting from :
Physical Interface -> PHONE port -> Port Setting -> Impedance. (default 600 is for US phones).
Also, try different phones without changing the setting ... see whether you can find a phone that gives you lower (or no) echo ...
Lower ChannelTxGain is surely a way to suppress echo, however, you will hear lower volume on the phone side, but you may as well adjust your analog phone volume accordingly ... |
