The <speed dial> MUST NOT be done by you. You have to do it with OBiTalk portal such that OBiTalk database registers which OBi devices belongs 'My OBi Devices'. For example I have two OBi110-A and OBi110-B and they are My OBi Devices via the OBiTalk portal.
Speed dial
1 Softphone OBi Number
2 OBi110-A OBi Number
3 OBi110-B OBi Number
OBi110-B's primary trunk (line) is GV on SP1 and LINE port is connecting with the Telco PSTN. Following my previous procedures to 1) disable the autoprovisioing and 2) add one for direct the one-stage call to the LINE port.
In OBi110-A location, one picks up the phone
3**8+<PSTN number to be dialled via OBi110-B LINE port>
Please note that you have to disable the autoprovisioning option on your OBi110 otherwise the settings will be automatically resumed to the orginal settings from OBi portal server.
I used the Zoiper software + OBiAPP to make a outbound call as follows:
<speed dial> **8 + < PSTN telephone number >
The first asterisk is removed by the firmware 1.2 then rule 1 is fired. I am able to make a non-primary line PSTN call using one-stage dialling method.
I have tried your suggested one-stage OBL but failed. A voice message with "There is no available service to complete your call" returned.
Referring to the above code in RED, it seems <speed dial> **8 would just initiate a call using its own PSTN line instead of making a call using remote resources on another OBi110. Am I missing settings on other configuration pages?
It would be pleased if you could make some screen capture on both local and remote devices for our reference. Thanks
OBi to OBi Single Stage, Direct Dial Gateway Calling
- OBi users can now access another OBi device's voice services to place calls using single-stage dialing.
- The calling OBi must be in the gateway OBi’s Circle of Trust and have a Speed Dial assignment in the calling OBi’s OBiTALK Speed Dials list.
- Direct calling via the remote gateway OBi is accomplished by first dialing its Speed Dial number, then a star and then the destination number, e.g. 2*1-800-555-1212
- OBi to OBi gateway calling uses the OBiTALK network.
