HKBN Tel Line

I have changed my ISP to HKBN today. It is now bundled with HKBN TV and Tel. at $20 and $10 each per month.

So far the telephone line quality is very good. I ws told that it is digital line i.e. VOIP. Any one has experience?

Anyone has been using HKBN Fibre network? I wish to know how the fiber cable convertor works?

No. It is just a ethernet line from outside in. I saw him using 2 wires for phone. remaining 6 for internet and TV. If I need both, I must go through bbTV box wan port and then use the lan port to connect to my router. The IP is real, starting from 14.xxx.xxx.xxx. IP lookup shows it is from Australia!

I belive that the box that HKBN gaves you has the voip function.

No ATA, just use the ethernet to come in but they told me that it will not work if no electricity.

If it is a digital line, then they will provide you an ATA. However they would not tell you the SIP parameters.
