obi dial tone [Solved]

I just bought a obi110 couple days ago and set that up yesterday.

My question is, when I picked up the phone, the ringtone seems a bit strange to me compared with the 2 obi110 I setup before.

When I picked up the phone set, its ringtone was 10 fast "do" then a long "do" after.

But the previous obi110 were playing long "do" just like the normal phone set.

Is there something I'm missing?

Btw, everything works so far and the firmware was upgraded to the latest one "OBi-1-3-0-2765.fw".

In general it should be the same unless OBihai Technology has changed some settings on the dialling tone. When you pick up the phone, the dialling tone that you hear is generated by the OBi itself and not relying the dialling tone from your telco.

Have you checked the Ring Detection in Line Port of Physical Interfaces for your new OBi110 to suit the parameters in your country.

Because the device will be used in Taiwan, so... I haven't changed anything over there.

Our experience tells that we have to change that parameters to suit Hong Kong's needs or we cannot get the calls.  If you use it in Taiwan, please check the suitable parameters or Alang could help.

The problem is fixed by a hard reset.

Based on the past message, you have already got three OBi110s, one of them is going to be used in Taiwan? How about the rest of two, used in Hong Kong or Mainland China?

Have you installed any Asterisk server yourself or just use any public SIP providers? Have you installed GV?

The other 2 are in Canada. I've my own Asterisk 1.8 in HK.
I also got the GV installed.

How do you install Asterisk 1.8 in Hong Kong? Using PC or any other device?

Without your Asterisk 1.8, you are still able to use ObiNet by means of Obi numbers. Are you planning to buy one in Hong Kong such that you are able to talk to them (in Canada or in Taiwan)?

The Asterisk is installed on a notebook.

I have et263, freephoneline.ca, google voice and 2bApp setup under the Asterisk. So, we could communicate to each other freely.
