我的IP-01终于退下火线了！！！

我从年初开始购入的IP-01已经退下火线了。

为什么？

因为在通话中经常出现语音传送不清，容易掉线，容易给外间的攻击而导致死机，还有家族的电话在晚间经常连接不上，所以确定用另外一台比IP-01强10倍的Intel D510MO主板取替，而这个Intel D510MO比IP-01还多一个FXO口，就是有2个FXO，如果要多加两个FXO口，只不过多要150元。

初步测试过，Intel D510MO （正常运行大约是17W）效果非常好，家族和members说语音传送非常清晰，不像IP-01那样，有不少的杂音。

为什么我的IP-01出现问题，而有些members却没有问题呢？估计我的Trunks比较多，extensions也不少，可能更重要的我自己加了不少的scripts，可能打乱了IP-01的运作。应该这样说，如果IP-01放在办公室内，对外只用PSTN，对内用IP-PBX（IP-01），那么估计应该会好很多。

等现在的D510MO运作差不多后，可能再密另外功率更加低和价格适宜的底板再另起一台Asterisk Server。

我也打算將現時我那台IP-01我Trunk移到VM裡的Asterisk中...
雖然只有3個Trunk+不足10個user...但足以把IP-01常常弄hang了...

因為未能確定VM能否支援FXO card...(應該有90%不能了...我現在試的ESXi有很多硬件也不支援...)
所以看來將IP-01和新建的VM Asterisk連上好了...

我就是那個IP-01沒有出問題的用家了。跟角色兄通話，只要他不使用IP-01，便很暢順。 問題可能出自角色兄有太多Trunks 及 USERS。

極力不建議大家在以下環境使用IP-01

都不知道哪里出了问题，但是可能肯定是，最好不要用G729 codec，因为它本身的运力真的不太足，所以建议尽量减轻IP-01的负担。

In Switchfin, G729 is marked as optional. As reported earlier, the developer advises you to get a commercial licence for production use. This is likely to discourage the use of G729.

Your new system can do whatever codecs you like. Will be a good system.

Now my system can support G711a, G711u, GSM, G729a, iLBC, Speex codecs. Also the CPU is power enough to handle hacker from outside and the usual Asterisk service without any problem at all. It is significant different from what we have in IP-01.

Compact size is good but not enough for you. For my case, I am likely to put the IP01 in other countries to enable access to local PSTN. May be SPA3K is good enough in my case but it is less flexible  and limited to configure

I wish the new firmware switchfin can solve most of problems found in ATCOM firmware.

If the findings are as worst as what you mentioned, IP-01 can be defined as a rubbish asterisk server.

The findings are preliminary and subjected to change for a longer period of time.

The subsequent tele-conversation between 角色 C-Hing and I made in the past few days proved that IP-01 is actually not that weak as previously described.

Conversation environment:

1.  IP-01 in Hong Kong between D510 MO in Shenzhen and NAS in Hong Kong

2.  Conversation were made in differenct time slots at in-house, in public areas, and in some other kinds of tranffic tools.

Findings:

When no compulsory use of G729 (optional in fact), in an hour conversationa via DECT Phone, wired phone, Mobile Phone, between cable IP Phone is very clear and stable .  We felt like talking with each other in same local geographic location.

Conclusion

1.  A reasonable doubt that the settings in 角色 C-Hing's IP-01 has to be properly regulated as the source of problem mentioned previously was not come from mine (my IP-01).

2.  An interception from 3rd parties cannot be defined and concluded as there were no such disturbance happened when we were in that hour of chat.

3.  It is admitted the power of IP-01's CPU is not strong enough to handle heavy duties and also it is suggested to have as much RAM memory as possible.

4.  For regular use in family between relatives and friends, IP-01 is still good enough provided you won't confine your counterparts to a particular codec, such as G729 and narrow bandwidth codec.

The above mentioned are all my personal opinions without 角色 C-Hing's agreement.  角色 C-Hing may have his own perceptions.
