ATOM Intel D510MO --- After power failure does not reboot is a well-know problem

为什么真正安装Asterisk系统，这次特别订购ATOM Intel  D510MO系统，那么我就可以在这个系统上可以做很多的工作的测试，例如更加FXO card，那么我们就可以脱离ATCOM的IP01 + FXO了。

等我有了系统，然后慢慢调整，看看效果是怎样。

1）BIOS要有 Power on restart function
2) Case 可以安装additional FXO cards。

Could you let me know what is the specification of your system?

I also notice that IP01 may not be sufficient. There should be some other better system.

The configuration is very simple, Intel Mainbord D510MO, 40G Harddisk, 1G RAM, mini-case, I believe that the configuration is good enough for running Asterisk server.  I would like to buy a two-port FXO card from ATCOM but I forgot the model number and the price. Do you remember it?

Since I am using Intel board instead of the promoted one, the price is increased from 998 to 1175.

ATCOM IP01 is good for those members who are not familiar with the installation of Asterisk server and FXO cards. It save a lot of time and efforts.

Hardware broad is ok and simple to use. Why not order a four port card and 2 FXO modules? The bare card should be more or less the same.
I have used a 4 port version with 2 FXO. Very simple to configure.

The main board is okay but not for FXO modules which we could obtain from Taobao at RMB100.

Beware of the quality of these FXO modules, which is crucial. There may be problem in line hunting.

It seems that you have experienced this situation before. Have you bought any FXO cards which are very good?

Not yet at the moment. They are expensive stuff. I would wait and see if other alternative available. At the moment, I hook up a SPA3000 to do PSTN gateway. Sound quality drops a bit but overall it is fairly acceptable. I tried recently when I did an overseas trip.

I heard that there are many fake FXO modules out there in the market.  If the price difference is not big enough and if you tend to get a reliable connection for a long period of time, better choose a real one.

Oh! My God! My Intel mianboard does not support auto-boot after power up!

Next time, make sure that the BIOS supports this function if you want it to be your Asterisk Server.

    A small module causes few hundred dollars. This is why there are poor quality modules. Only get from reliable source.

    Why!. I think it is a simple function in the BIOS. Is your BIOS genuine from Intel not from other OEM? OEM broad BIOS usually has more functions.

I do not know whether there has a third part BIOS firmware for Intel board.  We have to collect the required information to make a reliable Asterisk Server.
