唉! 又不能透過電腦upload去flash, 只能夠透過HTTP、TFTP或console線去flash! 又容易flash死! 真的不適合Lu-Lu用! 還好我宿舍備有USB to console線, 要不然放假還要大老遠跑出去買. 要是有更好的選擇我真的不會買IP01!

restore the firmware now.

There are some tricks in updating switchfin. Don't be too ambitous to jump from atcom to switchfin 437 or above.

Need step by step because switchfin firmware is bigger by about 1 M. It is close to the limitation of the size of flash (boot partition)

Atcom 的 firmware update 相對於 Switchfin 的 firmware update 已經係比較容易的了。它的方法跟SPA3102 沒有太大差別，無需Console 線的。之前update 個三、四次，每次都可以一take過，因為Atcom 的 firmware size 較細少，好少會Flash 死的。

IP01 is quite stable with switchfin firmware.

Are you really serious to give up? An asterisk box will be an important heart for your future communication.

I am sure it can link up SPA3102/3000, OBi110 and other sip/iax. Only limitations for IP01 are
1. possibly not capable to handle large number of calls at the same time
2. can't attach a USB 3G modem stick to the IP0x
3. can't do skype connection within the box.
4. for fax, switchfin firmware has fax capability and email fax functions (I have not tested personally). Only you can install avantfax for gui management.

Your altenative is to build a small asterisk server your self. I notice that digium/asterisk has released repository for debian/ubuntu linux. It will be much better in term of kernel support and hardware than our old Centos.

我想起Asterisk Server的原因有以下3個:

1. 用skype/裝多1條HGC PSTN做call back. (已另外想到應該可行的解決方法: http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=5559454246 , 等收到貨家人周末幫我帶回去接上OBi110試就知道是否可行. 原本想買這個 http://www.artech.com.tw/showdetail.php?id=82&lang=B5 , 不過已經停產了.)

2. 收fax. (暫時又不考慮取消2B, 就算取消2B我也另外有方法可以收fax.)

3. 有自己的SIP Server. (暫時用着callcentric和OBiTalk.)

所以我可以等有時間慢慢起Asterisk Server, 而IP01 upgrade firmware既程序既複雜又易flash死, 而我又經常不在香港, 現階段非因必要我都不考慮採用IP01.
