Backup-modify-restore

The switchfin has one bug in IP01, i.e., you cannot delete the obsolete DID_trunk in extensions.conf. This can be fixed thru backup-modify-restore method.

The configuration files can be backup and restored in System Setup=>Backup. Just download the tar-file after backup, then you can extract the tar-file and modify relative files. After modification, you can simply tar the relative files to a tar-file.  Upload&restore&reboot, the obsolete DID_trunk is gone.

I think this can be a good news to those whom want to update to the newer firmware. The copy&paste from one file, for instance extensions.conf to extensions_custom.conf, would make the transition more easier.

The switchfin firmware is at least better than the ATCOM's one in term of file manipulation and much better than asterisk's GUI.

It seems to me that all of them suffer from incomplete editing. Therefore, I have been doing in a way similar to yours. Instead I use FTP to connect to the IP01 to do editing under Windows.
I try with SFTP protocol under WinSCP but never able to connect.

Have you tried before?
