Calls drop out randomly

Calls drop out randomly after 20 to 40 seconds. However, the echo tests, like gizmo5 & iNum works perfectly after 1 minute. The IAX2 trunk does not effected.

It works without any drops before today and I do not change any settings for a few days. It sounds very strange...

Most googled results are extern ip setting problems. (If this is the case, it would exists for long time and should be the same for every call.)

Change according to suggestion for ddns, hope this would resolve the drop-out issue in the future.

Seems that the inbound RTP stream is blocked after 30 seconds. Since the asterisk and clearOS is in the same box, it should not a problem to forwarding the port to its own. Open up port forwarding rule does not solve the drop-out-after-30-seconds problem.

Neither verbose level 5 nor log messages has anything to say. The only trace is the cdr:

I experienced similar inbound stream dropped within 30 seconds when I played with my SPA3102 last year.  Later, I found that the problem was caused by the settings of NAT Mapping  and NAT Keep Alive.  It seemed that the router did not know or recognize to where it should route to the internal destination when inbound request was received, and hence, it dropped the call.

You may inspect whether there is any setting problem in your clearOS, which is used as your router/firewall, I supposed.

Solved finally.

The problem arised by a router behind ClearOS. Set the ATA at the router's DMZ, which is not good enough for routing. The reason might be explained by bubblestar. The strange one is it worked perfectly until yesterday. As I uses the router as switch, the drop-out problem is gone.

Glad to hear that you solved the problem finally.
