How to hangup an incoming PSTN call

I have tried to use Hangup command to hang up an incomng PSTN call. However it does not work at all. The hangup command should come after an answer command. Does anyone know the way to hangup it?

Your help is highly appreciated.

I don't know if this is related to the setting in FXO. Try change some of the settings for the FXO

Thank you for your information.

Without answering the call, you can do nothing to tell the PSTN network operator to reject inbound calls.

Can you post me the code you try but unsuccessful? Are you doing something based on callerid or blacklist to hangup the inbound calls?

In the past few days, I had helped a member to let his relatives to call my Shenzhen access number such that the caller ID is received and I shall pass this information to his Asterisk server. He will follow up the rest of the callback operation. In order to let his relative know I have already received his call by hangup the line. If I have never answered the call, then the hangup() command does not work at all.

The question is very simple, whenever any inbound calls come, how can we acknowlege the PSTN network operator, I would like to take the call?

How about a soft hangup?

I don't know if this works or not. Some report that the command is not available.
