I use the AsteriskNOW CD and remove the old asterisk 1.4 and then install asterisk1.8 via yum.

In the morning, the http://packages.asterisk.org/centos/5/current/i386/RPMS/ has skype, fax and g729 packages, now all disappear

Installation no problem but not working well. Initially works but afterwards some problems in the GUI.

I user AsteriskNOW as baseline.

I try several times the RPM methods. something wrong. Definitely not mature products.

Have to wait for a while and observe
