Normally I don't shut down the router. Have you tried with hard-reset to restore the firmware(I used it once with RB450G)?

In RB2011, you can use the touch-screen to shut it down. I have reset the whole configuration to factory configuration twice(default password 1234).

    Update to v6.5

I use only reset factory configuration with touch screen. The shutdown function is not available in touch screen, sorry for my mistake.
