Voice and sms are working for chan_datacard after upgrading to Asterisk 1.8.4 here.

Not tried chan_dongle yet.

Will re-compilation of chan_dongle or chan_datacard after Asterisk 1.8.4 work? As I told you before, chan_datacard caused problem in accessing CLI in Asterisk 1.8.4 for me but it did not affect other earlier versions.

Transition from chan_datacard to chan_dongle is smooth. Voice and SMS are of no problem here. However, in/out Chinese SMS is not readable.
