My Atom D525 is with dual core CPU but I cannot puzzle out the right choice of using *-atom.so or *-core2.so

If both are viable, could anyone tell which is better in performance for this PC or CPU ?

Thanks for the enlightenment.  The shorter translation time and less CPU resource usage the better.

codec_g729-ast14-gcc4-glibc-x86_64-core2.so
codec_g723-ast14-gcc4-glibc-x86_64-core2.so

I just install from scratch by compiling 1.8.1.1 directly instead of 1.8

Could you advise which version of library should be used.  Thanks.

Actually, I installed 32 bits at the very beginning, but with same result. So that why I tried 64 bits to see what it would be.

Yes, I did.  But I don't think they are all installed in proper path.  Anyway, I WILL try 32 bits again until it succeeds.

Following ckleea's recommended link and their method, I re-compiled Asterisk 1.8.1.1 again.  This time, the errors mesage of chan_gtalk and res_jabber are resolved as they disppear from the /var/log/asterisk/messages.    What a useful guideline!  Thanks.

However, there are still errors loading modules for the res_calendar_icalendar.so and related files.  I remember that ckleea C-Hing had said he had some problem on icalendar when compiled his Asterisk 1.8 some months earlier.  Is that the same problem as you?  Could you advise how it was resolved?  Thanks.
