1. Check the available for asterisk18

[/opt] # ipkg list | grep asterisk18

2. Installation of Asterisk 1.8

After installation, the main code for Asterisk 1.8 could be found in /opt/etc/asterisk.

Take a look at the /opt/etc/asterisk/asterisk.conf containing:
  1. [directories](!)

  3. astmoddir => /opt/lib/asterisk/modules
  4. astvarlibdir => /opt/var/lib/asterisk
  5. astdbdir => /opt/var/lib/asterisk
