1. Type the phone number into your S60 device, then insert the letter p, p stands for pause, it will pause the dialing for one second. Need it to pause for three seconds? Simply insert three p's.
2. Next you'll insert the extension or pin ID along any hash marks are stars that are needed.
If needed...
3. (if more than one extension) Finally you'll insert the PIN number followed by the hash mark and push SEND.
4. The number you dialed will look like this: +3585012345678p12345#p6789# - It dials the number, pauses for one seconds, inserts the conference ID, pauses again, then inserts the PIN code.
Your number may be shorter or longer, depending on the automated system your trying to manipulate.
Give it a try and see if it works for you. Hopefully this makes dialing your business contacts much easier, and of course this can be saved in your E71's address book.作者: 角色 時間: 2010-8-21 20:40
p = pause, it also needs to time the holding time that system message prompts. Sometimes, you may try more p before you get the best results.作者: 角色 時間: 2010-8-22 10:59
For mobile phones like Nokia, which will detect if the call is connected. If the call is picked up, Nokia phone starts to make a pause of around few seconds before sending the rest of digits which may represent for PIN or extensions numbers.
However, in my old Siemens DECT phone, it does not detect if the call is picked up or not. After the last digit sent before the pause, it starts to count the pause time. Once the pause time reaches to a predefined value, it starts to send the rest of digits. This is total different from Nokia mobile phone.
Yes, you are correct. In certain circumstances, a couple of p is necessary. I've tried to use 3 p's (3 pauses) in mobile phone before passing the rest of the digits to the system. For Siemens DECT, one p is enough.作者: 角色 時間: 2010-8-24 10:40
