因为ATCOM的IP-01 + FXO经常有问题，虽然耗能只有5W，但是有很多新的功能它都不会有。所以自己一直想有一套比较完善的系统。由于这台机器不会安装任何MS Windows的软件，只安装CentOS + Asterisk + GUI，所以对硬件要求不会很高。所以RAM要求1G已经非常足够，而hard disk就用SATA 40G，里面会安装6个CentOS，分布如下：

/dev/sda1 (8G) : Asterisk 1.4
/dev/sda2 (8G) : Asterisk 1.4 + AsteriskGUI 2.0
/dev/sda3 (8G) : Asterisk 1.8
/dev/sda4 (16G) : Extended partition
/dev/sda5 (2G) : Logical partition :Swap for linux
/dev/sda6 (7G) : Logical partition : Reserved for future use
/dev/sda7 (7G) : Logical partition : Reserved for future use

Grub Legacy bootloader will be employed and set the default setting for the selected Asterisk server to be run.

The mainboard will be powered up by an external 12V 5A power adaptor which is provided when we purchase the case.

Be careful with x100p FXO card. Somewhat it would not work as expected. This is my experience as I have a "claimed compatible" PCI card. They use the same chip set but just not working.

Thank ckleea's advice on using X100P FXO card. I shall raise this issue to the Taobao seller. If the card does not work, both of us have to share the delivery charge.

As I have already mentioned in the first post that we have to set the default menu option number, which denotes the Asterisk server that you want. Whenever you want to switch other asterisk server, you have to the "default" entry of the file /boot/grub/menu.lst, which is supposed to be stored in the /dev/sda1.

If we swtich to use brand new N270 board + RAM, ATCOM AX400P + FXO card, the cost will jump up to 1458RMB.

The FXO/FXS card from ATCOM and two FXO cards have already arrived. When I have time, I shall plug them in my Intel D510MO mainboard.

看起来不错！！
目前我用的是上次frys促销的intel e3300＋biostar的combo，才30刀。利用自己原来的3G的DDR2内存，买了机箱加电源。利用以前老的PATA的40G的硬盘作系统盘，外挂2个1。5T，一个2T的硬盘。不算硬盘的话，大概是在70刀的样子，因为3个大硬盘就花费了将近240刀。
用途 1，安装asterisk，主要还是利用google voice提供免费的美加的电话服务。
2，挂PT，下载
3，samba，作文件服务器

这个可就不算低炭了。
不过我现在等新买的Seagate STDSA10G-RK FreeAgent DockStar Network Adapter 23刀. 用的是ARM的1.2G cpu，不过内存只有128M。Hack后可以安装openwrt，再安装asterisk。性能上可能只能支持2到3路同时打，对我来说自己玩，应该是足够了。
这个不到10瓦的耗电。应该算低碳了。

如果不是长时间工作，高碳低碳都没有所谓。

现在Intel D510MO才是17W，当然是idle模式。已经非常低了，你还想怎样低呢？

已经那么多天了，我的Seagate STDSA10G-RK FreeAgent DockStar还没有收到呢。
收到以后，可以和520比较一下，520不改RAM走google voice免费的美加的电话实在吃力，自从改32M RAM以后一直很顺手。就差一个G729。

Oh！明白。如果简单用应该可以。但是要找到其他codecs如G729，iLBC，Speex有一定的难度。

为了加强Asterisk的学习，所以我买入Intel D510MO板。

如果IP-01只是internal use，不接Internet，那么应该不错。所以现在也打算用这个方案，再建多一台Asterisk Server。

因为最近要打算安装系统，所以在赛格溜达一圈，如果不是熟悉那里真的不知道那里的价格真的差距太大，所以最好在淘宝里比较一番，然后再跟他们划价。

像PCI的转接线，在淘宝卖40元，而他竟然卖90元，比别人多50元。

Yes, the case is around 180RMB， which includs the power supply.

How big is your case?
My D525 is about 2 times than the old ATOM 330. The difference is the presence of a PCI slot.
