In commericial sector, VoIP over VPN technology is usually employed. For higher security, IPSec VPN is widely used for message communication between locations or countries. You may PPTP VPN for less secured environment. The setup for PPTP is much simple and easily configured. In general, two locations must have VPN routers such that the local network segment can be seen by the devices or servers located in either sides. As the result, other parties in between locations is very difficult to tap your message for checking.

咁我地是用帶有opven的路由器比較好呢?仲系用PC起一個比較好?或者租個VPS主機,裝上openVPN?如果每人每月都出一D錢一起租個VPS裝上openVPN是否更抵?

個人認為用帶openVPN的router或者租VPS

Your 2b server have to be located in HK otherwise you would not get the result as you want.

Other forum does mention the use of VPN to get rid of tapping by some authorities in some countries. Please take a look at the following website:

As a result, we have to set up a VPN tunnel for our voip voice packets.

我的VoIP over VPN （PPTP）终于搞好了。

现在只是深圳去香港，还没有做香港到深圳。等有member在的时候，就可以用Iptel来比较。

1）不用VPN，看看能否说的久一点。
2）用VPN，又怎样。

角色C兄, 有冇考慮搞VoIP over VPN (IPSec)?

以前我也有搞过，但是不是很稳定，还有当时没有Asterisk，所以要用VPN，但是现在我都有Asterisk Server，所以不用VPN也可以，不过最近检查也么紧，所以又开始用VPN。现在先用PPTP，如果再严重，我会改用IPSec。

刚才跟member用VoIP over VPN说话，说了45分钟，一点问题也没有，非常清晰！不像以前那样，说不到10分钟就要重新再打一次。看来大陆和香港的VoIP，最好都是用VPN为佳。
