    yes   yum -y update就可以了

我用VM 6.5.2也可以。最重要：

1）安装AsteriskNOW option 4 后，要做 yum -y update
2）edit /etc/asterisk/http.conf and /etc/asterisk/manager.conf
3) /etc/init.d/asterisk restart

再用browser
http://<your-ip-address>:8088/asterisk/static/config/index.html

Can't see GUI when using IE/firebox. But under xwindows, no problem.

Have you applied "yum -y update" to Asterisk 1.4 + Asterisk-GUI?

AsteriskNOW 1.7 option 4 gives you the most convenient way to start up an asterisk server with the necessary libraries and modules loaded. It shall save you a lot time to compile and make them. For instance, the codecs G729 and G723 can be implemented by copying the codec DIRECTLY to the /usr/lib/asterisk/module directory.

iLBC can also be directly copied to /usr/lib/asterisk/module directory too. However, the speex.so could not. Investigation has been made to see if there any means to fix it.

Finally the required codecs including g729, g723, speex, iLBC are successfully installed.

It is seen from above figure, it shows the g729 performs every well.

原来这个版本的Asterisk-GUI 2.0没有了Network Settings这个tab。但是不要紧，在安装的时候已经把那些数据输入系统。

Network Settings是可以enable （/var/lib/asterisk/static-http/config/index.html，找networking），但是应该没有什么用。Asterisk-GUI在Digium公司不同的机器用，所以不同的Asterisk-GUI，可能界面有小小出入。
