It should not. Backup means a good OS system + drivers + most used apps. For Windows, all of us know it requires repeatedly update. My backup always goes up to the latest at the time of installation. Before the backup, I will also clear up the temp files.

For bootable DVD, did you try pebuilder in the past or winbuilder now? The program in the past allows multiple windows OS into a CD and other programmes to use in CD booted WinPE environment.

公司的同事相信大多數會用BACKUP Files 重裝，因為Fresh install 重新裝要很多時間，又要裝Drivers，又要重新 update OS patches，最後還要對個別電腦的個人化資料作設定，在實際運作上，根本不容許他們有這麼多時間去做，所以用Backup，多數是incremental backup files restore 是最有效率的方法。

個人自用可以慢慢執嘛。

我個friend是在國內某大廠做, 他們公司就規定了不能用backup裝機.

想想用winbuilder等整返隻Windows Live CD也不錯!

我的USB启动手指：
一个DOS启动系统 + ghost 11，然后一些小工具 Arj、format .....。
没有用 Linux ，所以简单。

ghost是为了备份系统。通常在安装了系统，配置好驱动和一些常用的软件后，就会用ghost把系统备份起来，留待下次恢复时用。由于经常安装软件试用，然后又删除，所以，每半年到一年就会恢复一次。用ghost就省事好多。

朋友指的backup装机，会不会是指用市面的backup/ghost光盘来装机呢？
通常有很多电脑的公司，都是先配置好一部电脑，clone它硬盘或Partition的image，然后Restore到其余的电脑中的，可以省下好多时间，也不容易出错...

應該不是指用市面的backup/ghost光碟來裝機, 我公司電腦部就是先配置好1部電腦, backup後再restore到其他電腦, 但是我覺得不太穩定.
